Oh, that. I couldn't really tell you why he's my profile pic. Something along the lines of "lots of people use comic character pics. I think I'll use the most obnoxious one I can think of, just for shits and giggles." And then within a week of that, somebody mentions him in the WCDT.
It's a funny old world sometimes.

OK, a thought about Spookybot (I still prefer "Grey Eminence" from both their skin tone and the French Eminence Grise").
What if they were not introduced as a way to resolve Bubbles' situation, but rather Bubbles' situation was used as an opportunity to introduce the Grey Eminence? Jeph may have a storyline idea that requires them.
That being said, we've seen how the advancements of Jeph's plotlines tend to unfold. We may not be seeing them again until the 2020's, if ever.

Abstaining from the poll since relationships aren't something I'm qualified to judge. I will agree though that this was really good writing.

I'm surprised that no one else noticed this or didn't comment on it, but this isn't THAT non-sequitur a comic. Saturday over at Willis's daily replay of the Walkyverse with new commentary He made this comment.

I'll note another thing, Robin's character made her original first appearance a few strips earlier, she replaced Dina in the squad (and comic) after her death.
I was expecting an Emily comic Monday in response to this.. and got it three-fold. The title, 'Build a Time Machine', Emily, AND Dina. Well played Jeph, Well played!
