Without wanting to sound nit-picky, if Tilly is NB as suggested by their preferred pronouns then they most likely aren't a woman (while I've seen people use both to describe themselves, it's rare enough that one shouldn't assume any other qualifiers in conjunction with NB).

You're right, we should be careful to avoid assumptions.

I admit I don't know what to call a non-binary person when the only answer they've given has been about pronouns.

"Person" works as a noun.

In the QCverse, one probably needs "human", "AI", and "person"

Welu:
I would consider Tilly's expression is androgynous, but only they can really quantify what their expression is. We haven't been told what they were assigned at birth and it's improper to guess upon it. We've also seen no indication they go by any name other than Tilly, have we? Transition is a very variable and personal thing and not polite to speculate about.

Moderator Comment Reminder to be careful how we speak about the characters because there are real people in this forum with shared traits of the characters. If you wouldn't say it to or about a real person, please reconsider posting it. If you would say it about or to a real person, also please reconsider if they would consider it overly personal or otherwise inappropriate.

Be that as it may, some people gravitate very strongly towards a fairly set "type".  When one has a wife and several exes of similar appearance, that tropism is clearly in effect.  Station, on the other hand, appears to be more eclectic.

snufflebottoms:
Was Station actually romantically interested in Hanners? I thought he just wanted her to stay.

Anyway, still not a fan of Tilly but they seem to be behaving better now. I am far more interested in seeing what Hanners has been up to. I think it would be super cool if after she leaves the station she visits her friends and we get to see them react.

Zebediah:
I definitely interpreted Station’s interest in Hannelore to be romantic. It was just short of a marriage proposal. I think the nature of his feelings surprised even him.
