Could be that's what Faye's been subconsciously looking for all this time, someone she can't physically dominate, someone who can instead dominate her.

I had to register just so I could tell you, today's strip had me laughing in fits. Faye's comment with Bubbles reaction was funny, then Faye's adds the zinger and I was practically on the floor laughing.

This is where Faye comes to understand that addiction means you never get to where you don't want a drink. Triumph is in not having one. You won, Gurl! (As I write this it occurs to me that maybe Jeph is setting her up for just that epiphany.)
I'm seeing the submissive thing as something she's always had a secret interest in, but this is the first time she's been with someone she trusts enough to go there with. That is, it's more affirmation of her bond with Bubbles.

Yep, big win for Faye. might as well pursue a healthy release of endorphins. Better than alcohol anyway.
Really neat to see their relationship so healthy.
I'm sort of wondering if Bubbles was an officer or in training to become an officer. Her rank has never been stated, but she sure seems to know a lot about practical psychology and leadership.
And yeah, I admit it: "Faye and Bubbles being adorable and affectionate" strips are my favorite kind of strips.
