Yeah, I think that realising that his younger sister is growing up has made Sven realise that perhaps the time has come for him to do the same. The celebrity lifestyle is cool and all but he's long ago realised that it's pretty empty. Maybe the time has come to move on from his crushes and his fancy-free lifestyle and try to do the adult thing himself?
Meanwhile, it is confirmed that the convenience store where May works is adjacent to The Horrible Revelation.

She's basically taking a smoke break.
What she's holding is a USB drive that, when inserted, installs and auto-runs an auto-deleting executable file that gives a short-lived 'high' analogous to human intoxicants. We've seen Roko use this sort of consumable to simulate being drunk after a shift; I suspect that the one May is using here simulates the relaxing effect of nicotine or THC.
