JimC's sentence is ambiguous as written, but I think the post was meant to propose that each of the names was some combination of E, L, M, N, and O; not that the names included every combination.

Doesn't every non-repeating combination of 5 letters come out to 5!, which is only 120 combinations?
5 options for position 1 times 4 options for position 2, and so on?

If repetitions are allowed, the number goes up to 5^5 = 3125, which is of the same order of magnitude as Lemon's claim.
