Good names for a cat

"Kitty-corner" is familar to me. In spite of that, I still frowned in confusion at both names until I'd read their explanations.

Is it cold in here?:
The Concise Oxford app lists "kitty-corner" as North American, and I could not find kitty-wompus in it.

My favourite dictionary defined "cattywampus" to be a synonym of "catawampus" meaning askew, or a synonym of "cater-corner" meaning being of the opposite corner.
