If it's an all black cat, panther is a common name.  Any name that ends in the long O sound, like "No!", is a bad idea from a training perspective.  And a friend of mine had a female dog named Millhouse - don't ask me why.  Another friend has a cat named Gershwin, but I don't think it had any musical taste.  He did, but not the cat...

I know there's a Shrubmonkeys comic that makes a joke about this, but I can't seem to find it.
