I would, honestly. Their conversations have always gone this way.

I would, actually.
Throughout the comic, Clinton generally has expressed very healthy attitudes towards relationships, friendships, and sex. More importantly even, he has consistently shown openness to other people's advice and interpretations and/or fluidity in his own feelings. Note that this does not mean he is flawless, his insecurities/inexperience definitely hampered him in his interactions with Emily and especially his response to her simply stating she didn't have time for dating. But, overall I'd consider his attitudes quite healthy
Yes, yes, I am a bit of a fan of Clinton

I would even say: second guessing happiness is a terrible curse. And I'm aware it totally IS a thing. Some people actually do it. If you are questioning choices making you happy, when will you ever feel confident?
Farideh:
As a person who almost continuously second guesses herself, I can tell you that feeling confident is Very Hard. I tend to be afraid that I am not good enough, that my husband will at some point 'come to his senses' and leave me. Never mind the fact that we have been together for, lemme count, almost 19 years now. If there was something about me that would scare him off, he would have figured that out by now. Same goes for me re. friendships, career, etc.
I had a think about this yesterday and realized that it is a sort of 'victim attitude', and also a self-fulfilling prophecy. If I start acting too much on my insecurities, I will end up pushing people away which will then result in me thinking: "See, I knew that was going to happen! Poor me, doom and despair".
I don't like this about myself. I want to change it.
