With the forums shutting down at the end of the year, I'd like to post at least one update on the team I announced I was working on a year or two ago. Unfortunately, the whole team isn't complete and some haven't even had prototypes started. But, I'd like to showcase what I've got so far. Please pardon that there will be multiple posts.

Since I can't find the initial thread, let's start with the team leader; Spikestrip. Stern, no nonsense type. Has a bit of a temper and sometimes relies on Trebuchet to help her keep a level head. Head a crush on Trebuchet but is both oblivious to it being reciprocal and too much of a stickler for rules to act on it. Despite this, she has a soft spot for Echoblast and finds Mayday's antics amusing.

Altmode: Kentrosaurus aethiopicus



And, if you're curious what I sounded like 7 years ago, I actually recorded this. So, proof that these actually transform.

This is the only one I've built physically, and I'd like to adapt her to System pieces so she's more in line with the rest of the team. Please pardon that I had to pull these pics from my old DA account -.-;

Next the 2nd in command, Trebuchet. Not only is she the team's 2IC, she's also their heavy-weapons expert. She has a massive crush on both Spikestrip and Optimus Prime of all bots. A bot a few words, she's usually pretty stoic but will fuss over the team at times. She sometimes has to talk Spikestrip down from getting too riled up.

Altmode: Brachiosaurus (still haven't landed on a specific species, altmode worked from a few references)

Now, onto the team's scientist, Echoblast. She's obsessed with the various applications of sound, including but not limited to weaponry. She rarely speaks and would much rather engross herself in her research than do anything else. Though, she does keep a fairly strict routine when it comes to food as per Thornfist's instructions. Has a rivalry with Rhinestone when it comes to destroying things and finding points of egress.
Yes, she's autistic (because I can).

Altmode: Parasaurolophus walkeri

The team's scout, Highfive. Friendly, curious, and helpful, this bot excelled as a traffic reporter in the short time before the Great War she was one. A point-one-percenter, her special ability was being able to focus in and view things at different wavelengths across the entire electromagnetic spectrum with her five optics.

For anyone who wants to criticize her botmode design, I'll happily invite you to engineer a transforming robot from any pterosaur with a fairly accurate altmode that looks good. My original concept sketches were for a Ramphorhyncus whose head and neck split between the top and bottom halves much akin to Thornfist's transformation with wing legs and a Dimorphodon whose altmode torso split into the arms and the wings came down on armatures to form legs around the beast head. Before settling on Sinomacrops bondei, I was working on a version of Highfive called 'Flaptrap' using Batrachognathus volans for the altmode, but I couldn't satisfactorily figure out how to manage the extra long toe from the beastmode. Not sure when my goal switched to realistic altmodes, but it did.

The team's pilot; Mayday. A thrillseeker, prankster, and smart aleck, Mayday was a test pilot prior to the Great War and enjoyed living on the edge. She's still one of the best pilots around.

Altmode: Herrerasaurus ischigualastensis



This is still very much a work in process. The colors are not finalized, the form isn't finalized. I'm still working on how the upper bot arms work and the tail/foot is structured. Might further tweak the head as well.

Sidenote: Her being a test pilot is a joke. For those who aren't aware, Herrasaurus were a very basal species of dinosaur. They're not even classed as theropods, so almost certainly no feathers.
