I've only heard maybe 3 or 4 of the artists posted in this whole thread, so don't be so sure.

onewheelwizzard:
Venetian Snares - Szerencsetlen

This is ODD.  I think I like it.  Maybe.  I can't tell.  Classical-music randomness and (presumably) sampling over glitched-out breakbeats?  OK, this is what I'll say.

A long, long time ago I found a CD with a cracked jewel case for a dollar in aa startup comic/music shop.  It looked techno-esque so i got it for my friend, who was into that sort of stuff.  It was called "Tipper/Sound Off," I think, and it was a long string of stuff that sounded exactly like this.  I always put on a playlist of it when I'm playing very fast-paced computer games.  I like it.  This is now on the playlist.

8/10 (though I really have no way to judge this in any sort of fashion that could indicate its worth to anyone else.)

Masters of Reality - John Brown

A live recording from the "Flak'n'Flight" live album done with members of QOTSA.  A beautiful guitar-duet intro takes up the first third, and it just gets better from there.

Kind of a steel country/metal sound to it.  As advertised, some excellent guitar work throughout, but there's nothing to back them up and they can't carry a piece of this length.  I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers, but it's nowhere near the level of Maggot Brain or Arriving Somewhere But Not Here (to pull two songs of similar composition out of the hat).  6.5/10

I promised to put some Mouse on Mars in the FLT elsewhere, so here it is:  Mouse on Mars - Bib

Well, I half expected a dancing Christopher Walken to show up on my screen while listening to this. I'm pretty much electronica retarded so bear with me here. I really like the synthesized voices in this track. The beat is excellent. Is this trance? I want to play Amplitude to this song. Hmm, I really enjoyed it though. I'm going to steal it for one of my videos for school. 8/10

Here's mine.

Yonder Mountain String Band - Think for Yourself (Beatles cover)

nuisance:
It's definitely not trance.  Trance has a kick on every beat - doof doof doof doof - and typically bass notes in between - doof wow doof wow etc. - and is very sparkly and shiny.  And it's dance music.  Bib definitely doesn't fit any of that.

At the time the album it's from was released some friends tried to convince me it was a new form of jungle (what became drum n bass) and, rhythmically, that's the genre it has most in common with.  However, again, it's not dance music.
