ZJGent:
10 cities - Snake & Jet's amazing bullit band

OH LORD. this is just the sort of thing that ought to play when I walk in a room. For some reason I walk to a funk that no-one else hears, and I've never been able to find it in song form. Wild Cherry once came close for a while, but this is... this is it.

On a technical level, I love the shiny little "globble" sounds that split up what could have come from the Funk Age anyway, but modernised to a firm and steady filmic pace. The piano is good, the sound overall is good, plus it's a winner on a genre that I love.

9/10. Mark deducted for lack of lyrics to sing along to.

Next song: "Paparazzi" - Shugo Tokumaru (warning: twinkly!)

(edit) Point. Sorry about that, peeps.

THREAD NECROMANCY

This is an awesome thread and it needs to not die. So I am bringing it back with a new track since ZJ's link will not work for me.

FROST* - Hyperventilate

Misereatur:
FROST* - Hyperventilate

The song starts with some flutes, playing rather ambient lines. A piano comes in, and plays a line for a few minutes untill a seriously good prog' metal kicks into action, making this song even more interesting.
This is, to make it short, very good prog' metal. It's not re-inventing anything, but it's still excellent, and I will be checking them out.

edit: totally forgot the score

8.7/10

Dornenreich - Wer Hat Angst Vor Einsamkeit

Cartilage Head:
Dornenreich-Wer Hat Angst Vor Ensamkeit.

This was indeed an interesting song. It has some pretty outstanding instrument work, particularly the guitar, which is epic enough to have a battle to. There is one very major flaw,however..the vocals. I'm sorry, but these are awful, awful vocals, even for this genre of music. I might be more forgiving of the vocals if it didn't seem like they were actually taking themselves seriously while shrieking them.
