Saw Murder by Death on Friday night.

Amazing.

Esmerine, a Godspeed offshoot, opened for them, which was also really good. The other band, the Umbrella Sequence, was decent, but nothing too special. Their singer sounded a lot like the guy from Muse. He also wore a backpack for the entire show, which I thought was kinda wierd. But whatever.

Katili:
Le Tigre, supported by (hooker) and Gravy Train!!!

Chevelle played on my campus last week.. twas fuckin awesome, the crowd was small and the pit kicked ass, even though it was full of fratboys talking about how the last good pit they were in was for Taking Back Sunday, and not helping pick anybody up. *grumble*

unfortunately some people from the campus radio station got fired for talking about it, because Chevelle is also playing at the dc101 Chili Cookoff tomorrow, and their managers (who work for ClearChannel, who owns DC101..) didn't want the university to advertise the show, cos tickets were only $10, wheras they're like $35 for the Chili Cookoff.  stupid aggafragin'..... *goes into Christmas Story-esque cursing rant*

The Futureheads - hella awesome!

Oh and before that Idlewild/Sons and Daughters which was good too.
