The Last Show You Saw

I was at a Sons & Daughters acoustic instore this afternoon. They were pretty good.
My 28th gig this year... awesome.

I was at my friend's gig last night. There were three people in the audience that weren't from the bands that were going to play (there were five bands.) It was the worst turn-out ever, and it's difficult to have a good show when your audience doesn't exist. A lot of the bands drove down from Seattle, too, so it must have been even worse for them. What a terrible introduction to the Olympia music scene.
In defense of my city, it was a Sunday night.

I've been to a gig like that!
It was lush, as we felt privvy to some private party (it was The Dawn Parade who I love), but I really felt for the band - they'd travelled from Cambridge, didn't get any money for the gig, only a small crate of beer (which they shared with us for coming down to see them) but damn, more people should have come!
The next time they played here, though, the venue was rammed, so not all was lost.

this weekend i went to see X-sister Z (local for me, which = jacksonville FL) and sister kill cycle (from tampa). there was another band, but they sucked so much that we shall never mention them ever again. aside form the really shitty first band, it was a great show. the folks from both X-sister Z and sister kill cycle are nice people, and very fun, so there was much socialising in addition to the quite enjoyable evening ov industrialised alt.metal. if we can get a ride, my girlfriend and i are goïng to go see the both ov them in tampa.
