I adore the beatles. And I challenge thee.

Georgie.

ANd I <3 the Beatles, for some reason. I really have no idea why.
Quote from: Mr. Doctor on 21 Sep 2009, 12:01but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

Eyespasm

I grew up on the Beatles.

My father played their songs while I was still in my crib.

catflea

Ringo.

Thomas the tank rocked

church

Rolling 'fucking' Stones.

El Opium

The Kinks!

Johnny C

Anyone who has listened to Ringo Rama cannot vote George. It simply is not done.

Love The Silver Beatles (Stones as well)

Have to go with George, but personallity-wise Ringo's funny as hell.

Only A Northern Song
Taxman ...

Khar is right WMGGW is a winner.

Aw crap - sorry was in some odd Debug mode and things got all mucked up.

Psiogen

Obviously George is the better songwriter, but Ringo's drumming is better than George's guitar playing, so I vote Ringo!

muffy

I second Catflea - for the number of times I watched my thomas the tank engine video, Ringo's music has been embedded in my brain pretty much since birth

seakerthehamster

George tryed realy hard with his guitar, that's why he never smile while playing it.

And Ringo's not even the best drummer in the Beatles.

Beside, have you ever seen nicer cheekbones the Georges.......

But he named his album Ringo Rama... RINGO. RAMA. Ack.

I haven't heard Ringo Rama. But even if I did. George owns my soul.

seakerthehamster

George all the way.

And it's way harder to play a guitar than drums, I should know...

The Wombat

Meh, George is the better songwriter, and being a lyricist myself that's what I go with in a player...so George...

Cpt.Fantastic

George.
Ringo can't play drums, Harrison was a very versatile guitar player and songwriter. Sorted.

Apparently wings were rubbish. I might buy one of there Lps to form my own oppinion. (3 for £3)

George Harrison. His songs fill me with love and joy, but then when his songs end, the love and joy is soon replaced with sadness and ridicule, and I run to my room to cry.

So there is a downside listening to his songs.

mee-kay-la

Wings were a good band. \m/

rynne

Ringo.

Watch any of the movies; Ringo's the funniest one.

Though I will not deny the coolness of "Got My Mind Set on You."

ringo.  george annoys me for some reason.
actually, i know the reason.  'piggies' is the reason george annoys me.

words cannot describe how much i hate 'piggies'.  miserable hippie whining against rich people.  boohoo.
plus they put it right after 'blackbird' on the white album, which just ruins everything.

i love ringo's drumming.  i don't know how technically good it is (i'm a guitar player, myself) but it always seems to sound just right for the song.
say something funny.  like sloppy joe.

I was told that the guitar player in Wings (Henry McCullough) was the same guy who did the rockin' intro (where you're "flying" over the Judean terrain) in the movie Jesus Christ Superstar. I'm trying to verify that now, actually, but I know longer have the soundtrack LP.

Although I'm not sure the extent of it - it is generally accepted that  John or Paul would play drums on many of their songs when Ringo couldn't get it right.

I love some Wings - there are some great songs from Paul post-Beatles (and let's not forget John's solo work - ace).  Wings definitely has some cheesy bits to em' but overall a good band.  George's solo stuff I could never get too into as it was mainly very mellow and introspective.

monkeymenofmars

George. And you can't do this:

\m/

for Wings. You have to do this:

\\\w///

cause that's just how it's done.

Plastic Ono Band rules all you mo-fos.

KharBevNor

I always had a problem with the Plastic Ono band. It begins in Yoko, and ends in Ono.

Did you ever see that clip of them playing "Instant Karma" on Top of the Pops? They unplugged her microphone. XD

Who did that? Because that person deserves some hugs.

I don't know how "generally accepted" this rumor is, but it isn't true. Paul did, however, play drums on three songs: "Back in the USSR" and "Dear Prudence", because Ringo had temporarily quit the band; and "The Ballad of John and Yoko", because he was off making a movie.

obviously ringo.

seakerthehamster

Wow, I love that pic, but still george all the way.

ophelia_murklins

Ringo for me.

Obviously, seaker... maybe you should explain about the time machine.

(P.S. Way to steal my indieband obsession!)

seakerthehamster

Thank for brining that up Ophelia.

If anyone want to know about the time machine, they can pm me.

(I doubt you would, it rather disturbing)

And you're only saying Ringo to keep me happy... I know you too well.

redglasscurls

I can i have both? Pleeease? How about the whole band? I'll bring them back to life and keep 'em under my bed and you all can borrow them anytime you want!

m4cphisto

george can play sitar!

sitars are sexy instruments.

seakerthehamster

Sitars are soooo cool.

You know, The Beatles were using Eastern instraments, and influences 30 years before Bangra.

ColdSteelRain

wOOt Sitar!

Anyways I have to go with George.  I just think he's way more interesting then Ringo...

Ringo is funnier though.

But still, my heart will never be swayed from George.

(Does anyone else see the resemblance between John Lennon and ramdom homeless people?)

ColdSteelRain

There is a difference between funny and interesting.

Although I admit Ringo can be hilarious.

jk. george.

El Opium

I shall now come forth and pledge myself to the cause of ringo.
