Seriously! First Day Of My Life depresses the hell out of me as I'm a bitter singleton, and the video (with all the cute couples) kind of wound  me up...
Luckiest has a similar effect on me.

And I love Inmates, it's one of my current self indulgent favourites...

daviesmatt:
Opeth - Damnation. Listening to this album always makes me feel so damn apathetic it's depressing. Or vice versa.

Holy shit, I need to find my copy of it, just to see how melancholy it and a bottle of vodka can make me feel.

dancarter:
let's see...there's a list here, somewhere.

cold floor and spoke by i, parasire. so stunning.
gloomy sunday by various people over time.  the one everybody mentions on lists like these.
bleed by tapping the vein.  a little obvious, but the voice destroys me.
end of an era by monstrum sepsis.  instrumental.
no closure by piano magic.  just go listen.  i have no words for how sad this song is.

Cpt.Fantastic:
Johnny Cash - Hurt
The Who - Love Reign O'er Me
Led Zeppelin - Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Snow Patrol - Run
