Midi Keyboard and a pirated copy of Reason makes a good cheap piano substitute in a pinch. Not nearly as good as the real thing, o'course, but the NNXT comes with some surprisingly sweet piano samples. Plus you can make funny noises with everything else.

Haha! Incorrect, my good sir. Guitar can be played with both thumbs, and I often use both of my thumbs. For instance, in this chord:

The bottom string is fretted with the thumb. Also, I can play this with my thumb.

The piano is a great instrument for learning theory on, I kinda wish I'd learned it first before guitar.
My favourite band with piano is The Specials, I can't get enough of that ska.
