My Friend is a Metalhead...

ASturge:
kids these days!?

I'm a mere 15 years old and am a fully quailfied indie snob!

Robbo:
Yeah, see how badly your parents scarred you. You grew up to like Indie. You're now unable to like anything that isn't dull :P

a pack of wolves:
I'm afraid indie snobs are quite far down the snob pecking order. You're only just above black and power metal snobs, and a little below noise snobs (they get bonus points for being proper, full-on mentalists). But you can at least take comfort in the fact that you are far above electronica snobs... because those guys are just dull.

That's right, I'm a snob snob.

Robbo:
I dont think it's possible to have Power Metal snobs. And BELOW Black Metal snobs? When Indie so wants to be as necro and as elitist but just doesn't have the balls to really :P

I need to become a full on Avant Garde snob, then I can look down on everyone.

a pack of wolves:
Trust me, you get power metal snobs. I've met one, and presumably there must be more. I imagine they rove in packs in mainland Europe. Black metal snobs lose points because they're too ridiculous to be taken seriously in the tough world of snob-land.

Of course, the supreme snob is the hardcore snob (although avant garde snobs do rank highly, just defeating the jazz snobs on account of their ability to claim to have transcended jazz), as we judge people not just on music but on every facet of their lives. Clothes, diet, drug consumption, politics, hair, even where you live... nothing is safe from the true hardcore snob. They're like the Jedis of snobbery.
