My Friend is a Metalhead...
Robbo:
Apart from the Black Circle, who are harder than all snobs, for the whole "Well yes, but have you actually KILLED for the ideas of your music? Becuase I have" But then now most of them are looked up or no longer Kvlt enough.
But yes, Hardcore snobs pretty much take the cake when it comes to things like that. Hence why the 101 Rules of being Hardcore list is actually funny the first time you read it.
ASturge:
Ah, but i can look down on all you people due to the fact that basically, 'It's just noise'
Like, dude, where's your soul man.....? whatever happened to love?
Robbo:
No, we look down on you for not even having the most basiclly educated musical ear. And the fact you completely lack the understanding of anything beyond 3 chords and 4/4 hi hat/snare drumming.
Soul, love? We can say the same for Indie.
And before you say, Drone means we also get to look down on you for not being able to make good songs that are nothing more than one ultra distorted chord reverbed for 10 minutes.
a pack of wolves:
We love our vinyl, so long as it's oop.
And if you're a true hardcore snob then it is required that you listen to all the decent indie and metal bands anyway. There lies the path of true poserness.
KharBevNor:
Love, love!? We have transcended love, balancing on a razor-edge between purest emotion and despair!
Or something. I don't get your point anyway, because there's plenty of metal songs about love.
But seriously, anyone who seriously suggests that any of the music I listen to is 'just noise' is on a hiding for a vicious argument or a beating (depending what mood I'm in and whether you're much larger/stronger than me).
