How do others respond to your musical taste?

yipjumpmusic:
hmm that is sad...they have jobs?

Revenge_Therapist:
I think it may be a phobia of record shops.

BrittanyMarie:
It depends on the band and the people. My mom likes mellow- I'll listen to Elliott Smith or Ed Harcourt or The Mag Fields or something, my dad is more rock-oriented (Sadly, the most "rockin" thing I have in my collection is DFA 1979, with the exception of one former local hardcore band) usually I'll just put on something classic like The Talking Heads or Tom Petty. He does, however, like some of the weirder Camper Van Beethoven too.

My roommate is a preacher's kid and is pretty stereotypically "good-girl". She digs the poppier stuff (just certain songs) by Beulah, NMH, and the Decemberists.

Radiowar:
"Where's the singing?"

wheriend_ndyubgn:
i had some redneck AND wigger (thats my entire town summed up) kids telling me that what i was listening to sounded like wedding music. i was listening to ratatat.
