What are some good ones? I am looking for enough to make a decent length CD.

So far, i have Ms. Sullivan, by Caroline Spine, and The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot.

Here Comes the Flood by The Divine Comedy is pretty much exactly what you're looking for there. Tis on the album Fin De Siecle.

Depends what you count as a 'disaster', but how about (keeping it probably pretty much within your audial limits):

by [i[Alchemist (Aus)[/i]: "First Contact" (Actions of the whites against Australian aboriginies), "Great Southern Wasteland" (Strip Mining)

By Sabbat: "For Those Who Died" (Witch burnings)

By Skyclad: "A Good Day to Bury Bad News" (9/11), "Bombjour" (French Nuclear Tests), "Gammadion Seed" (Rise of Fascism), "Jeopardy" (Gulf War Syndrome),  "Our Dying Island" (Global Warming),  "Schadenfreude" (The Holocaust)

by System of a Down: "X" (The Armenian Genocide)

umm, and probably some more. I'll have a think.

Actually, thinking about witch burnings, these would all be much more palatable to people round here probably:

Inkubus Sukkubus: "All the Devils Men" (Witch Burnings), "Preacher Man" (Priest child abuse scandals), "Wake of the Christian Knights" (The Crusades).
