This all stems from a friend who told me that he was having sex with a girl while A Perfect Circle was playing and she said the music sucked ....... blasphemy i say but each to their own i guess. So kiddies what is (in your humble opinion) the best music to kiss, have sex and or seduce to?

Moved to the music forum.  Khar, I'm watching you, this is not about A Perfect Circle.

The best makeout I've ever had was to Heart's What About Love, because it triggered something in both of us.  Nothing springs to mind in terms of sex, at least that I've experienced.

One of the albums from Naked Music.  Between the album covers and the name of the label, is it a surprise?

ahhh that reminds me of a good old groupie argument of which member of the band would be best to screw and supposedly it's the guitarist beause of the 'nimble fingers' ..... nuff said! Anyways I think The Tea Party are pretty awesome along with Tool and A Perfet Circle and maybe throw in a little Incubus and as for not cool songs only one band has ever made me stop what i was doing and walk across the room naked to change the song and that band was Modest Mouse ....... it was just too weird

In an ideal world, I'd get to make out to stuff like Cat Power, some Azure Ray, and Flying Burrito Brothers, and for more ... energetic times, things like The Faint, the Velvet Underground, the Stooges and maybe even some Peaches.

In the past, though, it's always seemed to be to a soundtrack of Bright Eyes, which, though may be lovely music, is far far from sexy and kind of kills the mood, especially when the song starts getting to some kind of crescendo of angst ridden screaming.

And recently, it hasn't happened at all, but I'm not complaining...yet ;)

For actually getting freaky, I'd say Mars Volta... ... cause then it gets all frenetic... ...

Naw, I'm just kidding... that would be fscking weird...

Now, I'm probably going to get beat up for this but for makeout, not really full-on freaky, I'll say Stairway to Heaven... 8 solid minutes... I mean jeez

OH OH!

I was just reminded of this totally awkward moment between myself and my best friend/roommate.  Him and his GF were over, hanging out in his room.  I was in my room, at my computer (where I am 99% of the time that I am home) drawing.  He comes into my room and says "Hey, can I borrow Radiohead OK Computer?"  I say "Yeah, sure" and grab it off my shelf.  I jokingly say "Need some 'mood music' brutha?"  He replies by blushing and saying: "I left my copy at work."

He then goes back to his room, the door gets closed, and I just pretended like I wasn't aware of what was going on for the next hour or so.

He comes out, and hands me back the CD, and I ask him "What, you can't 'do it' unless you're listening to Radiohead OK Computer or something?"  He just replied by blushing again, and leaving the room.

So yeah... awkward.

Please.  Awkward is walking in on your roommate masturbating.  Just knowing they were having sex... well duh.  Even if he hadn't asked for the music, you'd have to be Raven not to know.

Kyuss is my perfect pick for the dirtier side of life. It's all those massive grooves, and there are various mood changes which is nice. The best was an old girlfriend who had a 3-cd changer, which meant we could put 'Blues For The Red Sun', 'Welcome To Sky Valley' and '...And The Circus Leaves Town' on in a row. For kissing and seduction, Nina Nastasia usually does the job.

Oh jeez. Take a joke man!

I've never made out to music (-_-) but in my mind, My Dying Bride is the ultimate make out music. I could totally have some serious romance to 'Black Voyage', 'The Sexuality of Bereavment' or 'The Thrash of Naked Limbs' I mean, look at the titles! I would also totally do some bangin' to 'A Cruel Taste of Winter', 'Transcending (Into the Exquisite)' or 'The Snow in My Hand'. Yes I would.

In stakes of artists that are not My Dying Bride, other awesome sexin' tunes include:

* Killing Miranda - I Know What You Want (A Bit obvious: "I'm gonna fuck you hard! And do it all night long!")
* Any sexy Inkubus Sukkubus track ('Take the Kiss', 'Vampyre Erotica', 'Young Lovers', 'All Along the Crooked Way', 'Nymphomania' etc.)
* some Cradle of Filth (particularly 'Venus in Fear', 'Dusk and Her Embrace', 'Gothic Romance', 'Portrait of the Dead Countess', 'Of Dark Blood and Fucking', 'Her Ghost in the Fog', and, I say it with shame, 'Nymphetamine Fix')
* Old Theatre of Tragedy ('Black as the Devil Painteth' and 'Hollow Hearted, Heart Departed' en particular)
* Sisters of Mercy ('Bury Me Deep', 'Driven Like the Snow', 'Cry Little Sister' for the more romantic, 'Vision Thing' and 'This Corrosion' when things get serious).
* Juju era Siouxsie and the Banshees
* Skyclad - Spinning Jenny ("She'll exorcise your demons, then exercise 'yer thighs, await your second coming with a hunger in her eyes!", also 'Polkageist!' and 'My Mother in Darkness', minimum!)
* some really dirty sludge. (Syrafex - Taken as Pain, Electric Wizard - Dopethrone, Overlord - Pit, and of course Acid Bath - Cassie Eats Cockroaches ("Cassie loves to swallow, this bleeding will not stop, I left Cassie hollow, cut her with my cock!"
* hard rockin' stuff (Venom - Countess Bathory, Judas Priest - Living After Midnight, Iron Maiden - Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter, Alice Cooper - Poison (best stripping song EVER), Viking Skull - Beer, Drugs and Bitches, hell, maybe even Lordi - Fire in the Hole or Dynamite Tonite if my partner is cheesy enough)

All I can think of atm, though it might be fun to grind to some death or gore metal/grind. Cattle Decapitation - Bukkake Tsunami or Gorerotted - Fuck Your Arse With Broken Glass maybe?

I tried it to Slayer. Just because you HAVE to....god, not again. that hurt.
For some reason Van Halen works...maybe because I kept perfect time through the hole album...weird that. Lots of nice slow atmospheric stuff is great as well.

LTE's Osmosis was a good expereince as well...if slightly hard as you dont quite have enough limbs for it.

my favourite right now is the band Atomica(a side project of Christ Analogue), who can be found at: http://www.theatomicaproject.com
they've a sort of portishead like sound, but more sultry as opposed to depressing.  i heartily recommend the track 'delorian', which, along with another song called 'salt', can be downloaded from the link above.

along those lines, there is also 8mm, a project by ex-nine inch nails member sean beaven.  they can be found at:
http://www.8mmaudio.com/splash.shtml

as well, there is somegirl: http://www.somegirlmusic.com/
(try the song 'defeatist')

and Esthero, the whole of the album 'breath from another'.

oh, oh!  and Piano Magic.  they are all over stylistically, but everything is so good for this sort of thing.  specifically the song 'no closure'.

for other kind of things, there is android lust, as well.  it's sexy but in a different way...and hmm, some Displacer tracks like 'artifical living' or 'untitled'.

The only time I've made out with music on was NOFX - White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean. I also remember another time being alone in my room with a girl, and putting Thursday - Full Collapse on, which, if I'd been trying to create a romantic mood (which I wasn't), would have been possibly one of the worst things to play. Maybe next to Burn, Piano Island, Burn (I think I'll try that sometime)

My first major experience with a girl was to 'Just Looking' by the Stereophonics, and that worked well.

My most recent ex and I made love for the first time with Eminem's 'As The World Turns' playing on repeat after my best friend had started listening to it over the internet... was pretty funny, we finished, lay together for about ten seconds and then we were both like 'that song is fucking annoying'.

In an ideal world... if I was in love with the person, NIN's 'A Warm Place' - despite the perhaps fitting title - would be amazing to come on as things were starting to happen... and for general hugging that could lead to extra stuff... I'll probably go with... erm... Muse and 'Falling Away With You'.

Lots of industrial/industrial rock/ebm etc. stuff fits the bill well. I mentioned 'I Know What You Want' by Killing Miranda, but there's countless others: 'Ich Will Dich' by :wumpscut: for example, or 'Mein Kommandant' by Hanzel und Gretyl.

ágćtis byrjun by Sigur Rós is good stuff too.
Some of Zero 7 is pretty good for the kissy
Lovage is good for fucking if you take out the dialogue and dj scratch tracks.

EDIT: the only thing about Sigur Rós is if you look up the translations, some of the songs are pretty goddamn depressing.

There is a small problem with having indie music playing whilst At It, as I discovered once to my detriment.
Say, for example, something random and twee starts playing, and if it happens to be a cute indie boy in your bed, and instead of carrying on doing what they were doing, they pause and start coming out with stuff like 'Oh, have you heard the last Belle and Sebastian album?'
Firstly, there is a time and a place to wax lyrical about shitty indie bands, and between someone's legs is not it.
Secondly, I HATE Belle and Sebastian with an unnatural passion, so the image of Stuart Murdoch's smug face and his piss awful music was possibly the most off-putting thing to have in bed short of a vomit spray.
