Speaking of Skyclad, if you like the Pumpkins and can download stuff, get 'Fainting by Numbers', 'You Lost My Memory' or 'Jumping My Shadow' by the 'Clad if you have a p2p proggy, you'll appreciate their angsty, bitter (but sarcistically hopeful) side. I used to quite like the pumpkins 'back in the day', some songs especially.
Thinking of more suggestions within your field, and within the field of stuff that's actually good, Danzig, Nightingale, The Sisters of Mercy (everyone should like them anywar), Killing Miranda, Orange Goblin (another band that deserves universal love), and maybe some punk? Punk is cool.
