Kind of under the radar, AiH are playing at least one UK show as support to Apartment at the Drowned in Sound summer BBQ at Brixton Windmill, July 3rd.

Also playing are Les Incompetents, The Patty Winters Show, The Faculty and The Munichs, who may or may not be awesome.

Not sure. I imagine tickets are limited as the place isn't that big, but none of the bands are especially big and the event isn't gonna have the advertising of any major tour or anything.

Up to you if you want to take the risk... but only a fiver! AiH! FIVER!

damnit!
Why are all the shows in london? I know it's the capital and all, but I can never afford to get up there and if I do, I normally end up doing something stupid and embarassing and end up getting mistaken for a hooker or something equally annoying...and besides, all my london energy is being saved up for Bright Eyes with The Faint on July 11th.
It would be fine if they'd just play Brighton.

Oooh. Thanks for the heads up, Korlin. I really want to go to this...but i'm so unbelievably poor! I'm going to try and get a job before this so i can afford to get my arse down to Brixton. T'will be a personal challenge.

EDIT: fdgjkdfgmfdkjg BRIGHT EYES AND THE FAINT? I don't really like BE but fucking hell I love The Faint.

UPDATE:

They rocked. We got an extended extra special Do The Whirlwind. I bought In Case We Die.
I rocked out.
Brixton is scary. The windmill is nice.
Too many hipsters for this gig though. And all of them intimidatingly good looking.
The barbecue was foul and left me foul-mouthed in more ways than one.
But less than three.
The barmaids couldn't make good snakebite. It was too blackcurrant-y.
Apartment were pretty good but too Interpol-poor-clone rather than Interpol-inspired-awesome in my humble opinion.
I need a girlfriend to take full advantage of these so called "gigs".

I was merely intimating that they Cubntas, which is of course Sinhala for 'fine chaps', but with an over-affection for unwilling goats, and that also they should live up to their name.

The reason I'm clever is that half of the most grievous insults in finnish revolve around goats. You have to ask serious questions about a language which has seen fit to dedicate a whole word ('Vuohenraiskaaja') to the term 'goat rapist' and in which you can say 'Your mother fucks Reindeers' with the elegantly simple 'Äitisi nai poroja'.

But then, there's an english word that means 'An intense fear of getting peanut butter stuck to the roof of your mouth', so wheels and roundabouts I guess.

I cry because I went to a crappy goth club the night before, came home at 8am and just had no strength after a week of hard work to go all the way to London again.

I missed AiH's first UK show.

I suck.

Also, this is somewhat ironic, I think.
