Tour tickets are now available for pre-order here.  This news filled me with happy sensations, since I missed getting Summerstage tickets in time.  New York is good for not getting skipped on tours, but bad for lazy ticket-procrastinators like me.  Yay for pre-orders!

Built to Spill!? Now THAT's something that would get me interested.

Not that I want to start a "band x vs. band y" thread, and I do think that Built to Spill are all that, but has Built to Spill ever associated themselves with this bird:

I didn't think so!

I oughta get some tickets.
But, for the North Hampton one or the Boston one? Or both? Maybe I can go down to Rhode Island...

They're on Conan O'Brian tonight (NBC), so I'm watching that.

Do you happen to know when a repeat of that will be?  I know they used to show them on Comedy Central...  I didn't catch this thread until about 20 minutes too late.

I love their Picareque album and I like, though not love, Castaway & Cutouts.  It's to bad the closest they come to me is Pomona.  I have to decide if I'm willing to drive 2.5 hours each way to see them.

It might be worth it if they play some of their older stuff though bands seldom do.

They usually show it on MSNBC the day after it airs at 6/7 Pm, not sure about the time.
Thanks!  I'll just set a tape for that entire block of time.  And Austin's central time zone I assume, correct?

I wish they would do more shows in the city they are from! :( When they do play, one must literally sell their soul to Satan for tickets.

I see they're playing in Costa Mesa next Thursday.  That's about 1.5 hours from my house but since it's a weekday I doubt I could get off work early enough to go see them.  :(

I'm sooo pissed that they're not coming anywhere near me. West Texas and New Mexico seriously get so ignored when it comes to tours. I'd either have to drive to Arizona or Colorado, or I'd have to drive all the way across Texas. Texas is a big state, y'all. Much as I love them it's not worth it.
