...

Yeah I kinda don't like them, but- they sound just too cool from their tour journal.

Is it scary, that I actually got a ounce more interested when you said wizard rock, I am going to cast get a grip on myself.
I had a look at their website and uhh what a quaint looking pair, sadly this doesn't make me any less of a smartass... but I am listening to them now, that's got to be somewhat on topic, right?

I saw them in Vancouver and they were honestly one of the best shows I've been to all year. If you can call two dudes playing in front of a library a show.
Definitely the best show I've decided to go to with no notice.

Yeah! I totally agree. Okay, people can kill me now but, I have to admit, I ENJOYED THEM EVEN MORE THAN THE QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE GIG I WENT TO.

**is pelted with rocks**

Well. Maybe a large part of it had to do with the fact that it was fuggin FREE. And we were free to just kind of wander around and set up camp anywhere. I sat on my sleeping bag shared amongst other girls. Hee.  I was pretty damn close up front, got some vids too!

Not to mention, pictures were taken of me! (I was the dumb kid with the Ron mask).

THEY RAWKED MY LIBRARY. WOO.

Harry and The Potters.

AWESOMEPANTS.

It's really fun and/or funny to listen to, and if they ever came to within convenient driving distance of Niagara Falls, ON, I'd be there in an /instant/. They can't sing in sync, they look bordering on crazy, but it's still the bestest thing ever.

Gasp! MY EYES AREN'T SOULLESS! Just, not very visible. Haha oh man. I got the band to sign my mask! I took a photo with them, and after that, I said "SIGN MY FACE" :) I shall be a-scanning it in a second. I had two back up masks and my friends were too cool to wear them. Pfft. My friend did dress up as batgirl though! So that's gotta count for something.

The mask sans your eyes is kind of creepy.  This sounds awesome though.  I fully endorse and will support combining nerdery and music.

What. The. Hell.

These guys are the nerdiest people I've seen... playing instruments. I mean, writing entire albums about... Harry Potter. wow. If only the music was anything more than ironically entertaining.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

Well. There's the New Pornographers show, WHICH I CANNOT GO TO BECAUSE IT IS AT THE COMMODORE AND I AM A MINOR.

There's a free (or hella inexpensive) concert at Victory Square with a buncha bands, with Book of Lists included (hah! One of the members of the band is a clerk at Zulu records, how local!) and this is gonna happen in a few weeks? I dunno, there's posters around about it.

Nothing else I can think of as of now! :O

[edit:] That is gonna be a busy month for concerts.....New Pornographers Sept 23, 2 days before, the Arcade Fire are in Seattle (which I am gonna try like hell to go to, considering Vancouver is the ONLY major Canadian center they arent hitting) and I think I am being taken to Green Day somewhere in there too.....

Then again, I'll be 19 in five more months, and then I'm sure I'll love it.

Is the Death Cab show all ages?

There's an all ages Garbage concert on August 30. They're the first band I ever ever ever ever liked, but, but if they're gonna mostly play songs from Bleed Like Me, then me no go. Plus! It's kinda pricey for Commodore too, 40 bucks?!

That Arcade Fire show in October better be all ages, OR ELSE lots of muskrats in this land will die.

Please tell me that I am not the only one who finds it hilarious that a Zulu employee has a band.

Also, Franz Ferdinand, TV On The Radio, and Cut Copy are playing the Orpheum in October. Hopefully I will have the funds to make the trip down, as I will be not only going to see Converge the week before, but I plan on moving out of smelly ol' Kamloops for October first, as well.

Hehe Kamloops, I have spent Soooo much time up there..

I had to get out of the interior too a couple years ago, from just a bit north of Penticton

Not too interested in Franz Ferdinand (not enough to go to the concert anyway) but I might have to look into the other 2 before they come into town

Haha yeah, I find it ridiculously hilarious! One of my friends is always joking about how he wants to go up to the guy and act like a fanboy to him, just for kicks. I don't know which clerk it is though! I'm not rich or indie enough to go a music-shoppin at Zulu.

You know what I also find kinda funny? Red Cat Records (best place for local music) has like NOTHING of Book of Lists (the clerk from Zulu's band). Do I smell CONSPIRACY? :O
