GOOD hip-hop/rap
onewheelwizzard:
I've said this on this forum before, but Louis Logic is SICK. SICK SICK SICK. Look him up, PLEASE. Albums = "Blame it on the Hooch" and "Sin-O-Matic."
Also, Pocket Dwellers make some very good hip-hop/jazz fusion. They've got a jazz band, a DJ, and a VERY talented MC, and their music basically gets split down the middle between the rap side and the jazz side. The best tracks are the ones that involve both. Their website has some good samples of their stuff.
MilkmanDan:
I gotta say, "Music to Drink By" is definately the best Louis Logic album.
DeathrockZombie:
I pretty much listen to Nas, Public Enemy and NWA.
Music to shoot white people to :)

Their new album is gonna be the crazies.
Storyteller:
Although my motto of life is: 'I don't listen to hiphop', I was most pleasantly suprised by 13&God. It's a relatively new project combining the German electronica collective The Notwist with US alternative rappers Themselves. Check them out on the Anticon site: http://www.anticon.com/a-13god.htm and see if they're going to perform any time soon near you. I was at one of their first gigs in Holland and was totally blown away.
