Saturday:
Howdie, iīm new here...

I think it would be a neat idea to just share any tracks, songs, eps, whathever that we made...

I have an EP to share. i made it in some sort of contest where you should make an EP in only 1 week. i kinda like the results, 3 tracks, they told me it sounds a lot like explosions in the sky and gybe. i recorded all the guitars, bass, and stuff. my fave one is the 2nd one.

you can grab them http://www.danteinferno.net/weekep/ here if you wish.

^_^ anyone else has their mp3s to share?

cheers.

Hatebunny:
I've got a bit of stuff from my new album
(when I say 'new album' I mean fourth CD that I've produced myself, and probably won't ever sell, because no one wants to sign me.)

anyway, a few of the songs are on this website here:

http://mixposure.com/aetherius

and there's a link to my older music related site on there for anyone who's interested in hearing a wider variety and hearing the progression from 'sucks' to 'sucks slightly less.'

It's sort of electronic, but not really.

Saturday:
i really liked how do you work with the drums and the small sounds and noises, they have nice textures and sound a bit organic.
some songs sounds a bit like they might need some good vocals. a nice shoegazy singing would fit reaaally well in "New hope for the heartless" for example. i donīt like much the pad sounds, but iīm  a junkie for nice pad sounds ( like the one the boards of canada uses )

MilkmanDan:
That's possibly because Boards of Canada produce perfect songs. So of course the pad work is perfect as well.

Anyway, I liked both of your stuff. I was pleasantly suprised and impressed. Definately orth checking out, and it reminds me that I need to get off my ass and finish a few (rubbish) tracks I've been working on. So yeah. Woo.
I must admit, I wasn't loving it quite as much as Mercurial's stuff, but he doesn't seem to be posting any more, so you can take his place as 'forum members who make good music'.

Hatebunny:
That first track is pretty good, Saturday. Reminds me of a mix of Radiohead instrumentals, The Album Leaf, and...something else.
I like the second track better, though. Much more oriented toward my style of music with the piano in there, making everything sound a bit sadder.
I like the last track a lot too. It reminds me a lot of sigur Ros or godspeed you Black emperor (moreso the latter.) I'd buy your album, I think, if you sold one. I'd love to know how you pull off that whiney E-bow type sound in the background of the last song. ...Yes, this is definitely my favourite of the three tracks. It'd be nice if you could get the recording to sound a bit more high-end. It's a bit muffled, but I suppose that's what being indie's all about...

edit: might just be my dad's shitty speakers. I'll give it all a listen again when I get home.
