Well all the places I have heard of them, they were ridiculed and slagged off, so I assumed it wasn't something to investigate...wasn't it Pitchfork that had that weird review of them with such tasteless quotes as: "I am a fuck machine with only one speed; fuck."
Something like that anyway, but I haven't actually(to my knowledge) heard a song by them. But I doubt anyone would go such extremes as above, without there being just an ounce of truth in it...then again perhaps not...

I had been hearing about this band for a few months, but never heard them. The way the press described them made me both curious and fearful. Curious, because how they are described sounds really interesting. Fearful, because I hate most bands who are described that way.

So I finally saw a video On Demand last night, and it turns out I was right. If I had heard this 2 or 3 years ago, I would have loved it, but now it's been done to death. The song I heard was OK, but I have a strong feeling that every song will sound the same.

The song was really short though, like under 2 minutes, which was awesome. More songs need to be short, ESPECIALLY for that type of music.

I saw them at a show (I was at the show for the Futureheads. YEAH \m/) Man. They are, such crap, it is unbelievable. Their songs on their album are a loooot worse than their single, and they're. REALLY REALLY REALLY ugly. They just seem like a load of posers, the lead singer kept on making these RAWK poses and pointed the mic at the audience but nobody really cared. Also, they're a load of pervs. It's kind of common knowledge that they like to receive "service" from female teenage fans. One of them was being really creepy to a friend's friend of mine, making serious allusions to him ripping her clothes off. And she's 14.

So. Louis XIV = lame.

I dunno... I've only heard "Finding Out True Love Is Blind", and I enjoy it thoroughly... if everything else sounds exactly the same (like atreyu, for example, where every song sounds like lip gloss and black) then maybe I'd like them a lot less
