I submit to you that the most fun song ever released is The Go! Team's "Bottle Rocket." It's the only song of theirs I've ever heard, and it basically makes me feel like a little child again. Fantastic times infinity.

What's the most fun song you've ever heard?

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots part 1

The Flaming Lips concert I went to a few years ago was the funnest concert I've ever been to. "It was like sesame street for grown ups" as a friend said.

Also, I agree with your Go! Team sentiments. Listen to the rest of their album - it's super fun.

Not a fun song in itself, but I always have fun with friends when listening to 'Smells Like Teen Spirt' by Nirvana. Much yelling and jumping ensues.

pink triangle by weezer

I always laugh when he sings

... But when I start to feel that pull
Turns out I just pulled myself ...

 and

... If everyone’s a little queer
Can’t she be a little straight ...

Its raunchy but its classy.

Pretty much anything by Of Montreal.

Especially "Wraith Pinned To The Mist And Other Games" and "Oslo In The Summertime", but "Oslo" played live. Because it's so much better live.

I'm also ridiculously giddy over "Frenchy I'm Faking" and "Do The Whirlwind" and pretty much anything else by Architecture In Helsinki.

Mr Scruff - Get a Move On.
I would pass a motion making spontaneous swing dancing mandatory to this song, but I don't need to, because it's already impossible not to. On a similer note, Jurassic 5 - Swing Set, except you have to tap dance instead.

In terms of innocent child-like glee, Ugly Duckling - Journey to Anywhere.
In terms of disturbed child-like glee, Aphex Twin - 4.
Finally, in terms of mentally-retarded adult-like glee,  Exactshit - Ren and Stimpy's Happy Happy Joy Joy Drum n Bass Remix. You know it makes sense.

The Decemberists - Mariner's Revenge Song is an easy answer. We know all the words in my family. And we totally sing them. We have costumes and everything. And a big paper-mache whale. Totally not true but I wish it was.

Also, basically anything by Architecture in Helsinki. But of course.

I would have just gone with the whole of Taste The Secret. Especially Pass it On.

And there was a J5 track that also had kids in it. Something about a school or a schoolyard.

Especially if they're playing it live.

But nothing is better than: Ween - The HIV Song
It still makes me laugh. And all of my friends sing along too. It's horribly retarded yet very funny.

Goldie Lookin' Chain - (anything by)

COME ON!

The safety's off and the pistol is aimed,
Yardies and the Mafia always get blamed,
Politicians are shamed, and they haven't got a clue,
Rap is more deadly than fucking Kung-Fu

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guns dont kill people rappers do,
From Bristol Zoo to B&Q,
I wanna rap, I wanna rhyme
Heard it in a song now I'm into gun crime,
Its a sign of the times like Prince changin his name,

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The only way to do it, to really let you know
I could prove it because I gave it a blow.
It was purely accidently because she got me really drunk
And she made me kiss her elephant trunk.
You know why? That's right
Your mother got a penis.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can't deny it, it's something you can't miss,
That bird thats hangin' out with you is mad like cats piss,

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't front, you better check your back
How can you be down when your pants are full of cack?
You thought you'd fart, the shit did dart

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It wasn't fun, I had a bad bum
It's not good, when you gets the runs

REALLY COME ON

I firmly believe that this thread may have a solid three-way tie between "Decaptacon", "Bottle Rocket", and Architecture in Helsinki's "The Cemetery." I am leaning towards the last one. It is the funest damn song about meeting new friends in a graveyard that you will ever find.

Q: How many surealists does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: 2; one to stroke the phosphorescant giraffe and the other to fill the bathtub with small gears and trinckets.

Anyway, funnest song I can think of right now: "I Got a Feeling" by the Four Tops.  Impossible not to dance to.  And you'd better have a hair-brush microphone handy, too!

For me, if I've got my Les Paul in hand, it's Led Zeppelin's 1970 live Royal Albert Hall version "I Can't Quit You, Baby," in which Jimmy Page shreds like nothing else. If I'm playing the drums though, it's going to have to be their 1972 L.A. Forum live version of "Dazed and Confused."
