Suggestions for my Radio show

Hey there everyone...

My name's Ben, I'm a DJ for the University of Miami radio station. We play all 'indie/alternative' music, but I've never really gotten into the scene at all (note: thats not to day I don't like it, I just haven't ever listened to it).

Anyways, Since during my last show I chose music based on cover-art, I figured you QC music fans might be willing to help me by suggestion cool groups and/or songs.  If you feel like tuning in sometime, you can hit up www.wvum.org and catch a live stream. My show runs 1am-4am Tuesday mornings...

Dinosaur Jr. - Feel the Pain
and anything with these guys and girls:
Pixies
Mew(songs: Special, Zookeeper's Boy, Why Are You Looking Grave?, which incidently has J. Mascis singing in it)
Low
Built to Spill
Tom Waits
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
Under Byen
The Decemberists
Kitty Wu
Sufjan Stevens
Xiu Xiu(though that's a bit abrasive for some)
Godspeed You Black Emperor!(prog rock with 20 minutes tracks, might not be ideal but I wish someone would do it, Dead Flag Blues might be fun to play)
Einstürzende Neubauten
Hawksley Workman
Hüsker Dü(personally I like Don't Wanna Know If You Are Lonely, but I think most of it is good)
Portishead
Cat Power
The Fiery Furnaces
The The
Antony and The Johnsons
Will Oldham(Bonnie 'prince' Billy and all his other aliases)

and so and so forth...

You also need to play Nellie McKay, or I will henceforth refer to you as Big Ben, an eternity of torment no doubt. Seriously though, she is loads of fun, you cannot dislike her. If you are a human that is, aliens and rodents have strange tastes.

Songs:
Sari
Won't U Please B Nice
Inner Peace
Clonie
David etc.

You can have a little game where you call some random student, ask him his taste in music, and when he says [insert shitty band] you can push a button that starts 3 minutes of mindless, mocking laughter.

You ----"so what do you like?"

J-Dawg the indie kid ---"Erm, I like The Killers"

Hey, I lived in Miami up until about a month ago (left for college), and I listened to WVUM every day on the way home from work.  Great station :)

For music, I'm a big fan of:
Of Montreal
The Album Leaf
The Arcade Fire
!!! (Me and Giuliani Down by the Schoolyard is great)
Cake (Nobody every plays these guys on the radio)

Everyone already calls me Big Ben... my nickname on my floor has been shortened to BGB (Big gay ben, lol)..

Tacroy, you can still listen to WVUM, just grab the live stream from ourwebsite. If you use iTunes, it'll add itself to your library and you can use it whenever you want..

I nearly had a university radio show once. 'The Heart of Thursday Night' I was going to call it. Unfortunately the bloke in charge is an insufferable turd who just wants people to play commercial hip hop every night of the week. Not that I'm bitter. Damn his eyes.

Here's another thing, I've only had two shows, and I'm not sure if the stuff I've been playing is even any good...

upon trying, theres no easy way to put my log up here, take a moment, go to  www.wvum.org and hit playlists, Look for 'Ben Tarsa' on September 27th 1am to 4am...

The Residents.
Zappa.
Beefheart.

Now that I've got my three obligatory posts out of the way...

Bauhaus, because I fucking said so.
Bob Dylan because he is ace.
Dead Kennedys, because you can play songs like "I Kill Children" and get away with it.
motherfucking Finntroll.
Gabby La La, if you want a crazy Asian lady with a citar, acordian, toy keyboard and banjo.
Mr. Bungle.
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum (Who I'm totally fucking missing on Saturday and I'm kicking myself in the nuts over it.)
Praxis/Bill Laswell/Buckethead/Death Cube K/Giant Robot/whatever fucking name Buckethead is going by this goddamn week.
Renaldo and the Loaf.
The Residents again, because I CAN'T FUCKING STRESS IT ENOUGH
Siouxsie and the Banshees maybe?
Speaking of goth rock, Sisters of Mercy.
Sun Ra.
and, if you can find a song by them that doesn't swear enough that you can put it on the radio, Tenacious D.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.
