I'm still not sure how I feel about her. She remindes me too much of Otep. I've not heard a hard metal band with female vocals that I've liked, but symphonic black metal has some good ones; Therion (2 girls, 2 guys, operatic), The Summoning, Tristania (has both male and female).

Inlander:
What, nobody's said Exene Cervenka of X yet?  I'm very disappointed in you all.

Try Matriarch or Astarte.

Apart from those, bands I listen to with female vocals include:

Inkubus Sukkubus
Lacrimosa
Nightwish
Siouxsie and the Banshees/The Creatures
Dresden Dolls
Cruachan
Within Temptation
After Forever
Epica
Sirenia
Tristania
Theatre of Tragedy
Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows (Anna-Varney Cantonadea is transgendered, so technically this is true).
Angelspit

And probably some more.

Algaësia:
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Evanescence.

Then again, I suppose they're considered mainstream, so probably nobody here would ever like them.

1patheticloser:
If you find Evanescance even remotely interesting, you should check out The Summoning, Tristania or Theater of Tragedy. Similar sound, but loads better.
