Me likes the statue :)

Hmm... I should let that roll of film I have laying around get developed...

Kai:
Snazzy photos.

I'd actually really like to get into photography, but I don't know shit about cameras. I'm pretty sure I want a digital. As cool as developing photos myself would be, I don't have the space or anyting for developing lab things. But yeah, any reccomendations of brands, whatever? I'm working in a $150-300 range, so.

ChozSun:
Arrghhh... so much to post... so little time.

I will post tons of stuff.

<- former Combat Camera photog for USAF.

Until I can get some indepth stuff, some tips:

1. When in doubt, rule of thirds.
2. Rule of thirds can be broken but should never be defaulted to
3. Blow the background out by opening up the aperture to put the attention on your subject (unless you need everything in focus).  Most AF cameras have a depth-of-view preview button

Past:
Nikon F3HP
(Why I love this camera: I was out on the flightline in Washington State about 3 o'clock in the morning during the winter with strong winds and temp at about -30F.  The motor drive died.  The camera did not.  The pictures came out great.)

Nikon n8008 with Kodak DCS200
(One of the first digital setups.  I hated digital (despite carrying two bodies on my person at all times).  You know what, I still hate digital.  Let me know when digital hits 30 megapixels, lock-up mirrors and multiple exposures.)

Bronica SQ-Ai
(Medium Format for the win.  Medium Format Slides FTW.)

Current:
Nikon N80
(Oh baby I need a flash and a shiny new Nikon F6.)

Bastardous Bassist:
There are a lot of pictures here I really like!  I don't do photography at all, but it's my favorite visual art form.  I'd say my favorite one was the second one of saturnine's first post.
