Where is the line drawn on this sort of thing? Is custom only when the tattoo artist has artistic control over large aspects of the design, or any piece which has been drawn up just for you?

No, flash is flash. Custom is something done by the tattooist or by some other artist (which maybe yourself). If it's something that's been created expressly for your tattoo then it's custom (to me at least) regardless of who did it. However, if it's an existing image taken off the shop wall or somewhere similar then it's stock/flash.

Resurrecting the Tattoo thread again 'cause guess what guys!! I got a fuckin' awesome tattoo today!!!
(I apologize for the low quality. My artist will upload the pics he took later this week, I'm sure, and e-mail me one, until then you'll have to suffer with crappy camera phone pics --her face isn't really as...bizarre as this makes it out to look. It is rather bad ass!)
So, has one one else gotten any of the tattoos they've mentioned wanting previously yet, or gotten anything at all since the last resurrection?

I have the art pretty much finished for my next big piece but I can't post it on the internet because people keep stealing my tattoos :(
