So, I've never had a tattoo before, and I'm seriously considering getting one with my friend Ryan when I turn 18 in May.
This is what I'm thinking about getting:
Between my shoulder blades. It will probably hurt a lot, right? Since it's going over my spine, and all. Do you guys think that's too feminine for a dude?

Hmm... Are you doing it in color?? 'Cause I think it would look a little less femmy if it where done in a gray-shade. I don't like the purple cloud in the background. Otherwise, it looks just fine...
I am getting a bonus-check from work this week, I think I am going to finally take my Mom to the parlor and have her tattoo done --a very, very late Christmas gift.

The first thing you should consider is that the aftercare is going to be an absolute bitch on that one. I would hesitate unless you've got someone who lives with you and is willing to help you slather on ointment a few times a day, as you'll have trouble reaching that spot yourself. We were actually just discussing this in Gabbly a couple hours ago.

That sun/moon thing is pretty awesome, <insert above advice>. I kinda want a sun on my back, similar to the angry one Spider Jerusalem has. I'm not sure how disconcerting that would be for anyone being intimate with me*.
