Oops, forgot to look at the comments to my post. Now that the Avengers movies have come out, I think she would have less problems getting the hammer because she COULD essentially claim she just likes the comics, but this is also a person who believes that Thunor is her personal deity and that he told her to get it on her left forearm, so I have a feeling that if someone asked her, she would say something to that effect. She's also a very in-your-face type person (as is often the way of Heathens) so I think any line of questioning would probably end poorly. This was months ago now; not sure if she ever got it done. Just wanted to point out that in some places, I think that honestly you need to think EXTREMELY carefully before getting a swastika, no matter which way it's facing or how it's stylized, because you WILL be considered a part of the supremacist group that's pretty prominent here (the name of which I am completely blanking on right now). It's sad that it's such a knee-jerk reaction, but with the high racial tension in Birmingham, I feel like someone should strongly consider avoiding that symbolism because I'm not sure how many people would stop to let you explain what it means.
