The Decemberists woes.

Even if the Decemberists were doing a free show, I'd pay $135 to see Cream. I just don't like the Decemberists. Haha.
As for going to shows alone. . .it's pretty much the only way I ever made friends with people who are into some of the same stuff as I am. Good luck.

Well, the concert was really awesomely awesome. The lonesomness wasnt that big of a deal, actually. I saw one person I knew but she totally blew me off.

Anywho. I acutally spotted a guy with a pintsize hoodie on. I was thinking about saying hey, but that meant I had to give up my kick ass spot in line (which was second) and then I saw him again but I didnt want to lose my kick ass spot (which was front and center). So I guess I'll never know who this guy was.
But yeah. Concert rocked. Going to a show alone doesnt = death for the world.

Awesome! Glad you decided to go by yourself. I saw them in Chicago and it was a blast.
The first metal show I ever went to I went by myself. As a 16 year old kid I naturally felt awkward part of time in between sets, standing in the back alone, but by the last band I had moved up in front of a speaker and started headbanging madly. So it was a great experience after all! I'd say if you can't find people who like the band, it's better to go alone then go with people who just want to be nice.
