So really this is just anger at major labels' marketing methods. Not at Coldplay. Let's get our targets straight.

if i was as popular as coldplay, i would probably be just as pretentious, if not more so.
"for every 33,000 women that send us naked pictures of themselves, we will announce another tour date."
"for every 33,000 people that kill themselves wearing a coldplay tshirt, we will announce another tour date"
i'm not condoning them, because i like them. it's been the "cool" thing to hate coldplay for a long time now. the backlash against the backlash has sorta, um, arrived.
