Essential metal albums?
Storm Rider:
Is Symphony of Sorrows by Death, or am I on crack?
KharBevNor:
Crack. I can't even think of an album with that title.
You don't mean Grave Digger - Symphony of Death, maybe?
Rizzo:
While I'm not the biggest metal fan I'd say that 3 Inches of Blood's Advance and Vanquish is definately a classic metal album despite it's recent release.
As already mentioned, Slayer's Reign in Blood is a must.
Everything else of importance has been covered I'd say.
KharBevNor:
Actually, you're right.
Advance and Vanquish is pretty much a distillation of a lot of classic metal bands. It's about as original as Coldplay, but grade A awesome. Pure fun.
Soidanae:
Thanks for the info, guys. Much appreciated.
I can cross off...four on the big list and none anywhere else?
Heh. THere go all my decision making problems.
