top 20 records of 2005

Joseph:
I've heard 5 of the 20, and loved all of those, and I've been meaning to grab about 10 of the others before this list came out.  Personally I would have given Wolf Parade the number one, but that's just me (I really, really love that album).

ebullientsoul:
No Modern Life is War? Paint it Black?

JLM:
Edan, Roots Manuva and the DangerDoom project all got released this year, all of which were quite good in their own rights.  Add to that the re-release of the latest Dalek to a broader spectrum and it was a damn good year for hip-hop.  I'm surprised not to see any of these (or any other, for that matter) on your list.

But to each his own.

Jay:
No Twin Cinema? That was my personal number one of the year - not even a mention. :(

Galang:
you fuckin own Jeph, Opeth is on the list! I can't get enough of this band, they seem to do no wrong!
