« on: 26 Dec 2005, 11:00 »

i'm not sure whether i should post this here, or i like fish..but i'm figuring out the logistics of a mix cd thing. first one i've made in quite some time, i guess.

this is what i've got, thus far...

mushroom hunting~yoko kanno
things you can do~del the funky homosapien
poupée de cire, poupée de son (france Gall) [live in paris]~belle & sebastian
odalisque~decemberists

suddenly everything has changed~flaming lips
shampoo suicide~broken social scene
is this love?~clap your hands say yeah
i'm a ghost~ted leo/pharmacists
we are destroying the song~of montreal
running three~franka potente
cherry chapstick~yo la tengo

[opinions are awesome, whether i agree or otherwise.] ^_^

BAND NAME - SONG NAME

JESUS.

Besides that, good lookin' mix. Maybe put some more heavier stuff. Preferably slower heavy stuff. The Dandy Warhol's "Nietzsche" or "Where Is My Mind" or some Eels. OOOOOOO put on "Not Ready Yet" by Eels. That'll own. Right after "Odalisque". MMMmmmmm.

Hey no worries. Seriously though, use "Not Ready Yet". It'll be fucking terrific.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

12.Running Three~Franka Potente

Is Franka Potente the german actress or is it another Franka?

On topic I haven't really heard most of the songs on that mix, however I know that Suddenly Everything Has Changed is awesome and Shampoo Suicide is not!

yes, it is the amazingly sexy actress. franka sings about 4 or 5 songs on the lola rennt soundtrack, which is what that song is from ^_^

suddenly everything changed is the most amazing lips song in the universe, imo. as for shampoo suicide, that's all a matter of opinion, like anything music related. actually i kind of like it more for its name than anything else, come to think of it. [as it is a great phrase: "shampoo suicide"]

hm. perhaps i should change the broken social scene track to something neutral milk hotel. that phil spector cover is always goodness...

I don't know about sexy, but talented that's for sure, Der Krieger und Die Kassierin(sp) is ace if odd.
No list can get enough Neutral Milk Hotel, even Mother Nature loves Jeff Mangum :)
