Kai:
I didn't know Strapping Young Lad were Canadian. totally second them.

Storm Rider:
They did release an album called 'For Those Aboot to Rock'. Which is awesome, because they're making fun of AC/DC and Canada at the same time.

Halcyon:
Sloan is a great Canadian rock band. Atleast they were great back in the mid 90s. Action Pact wasn't too good.

Rizzo:
How about Sum 41 and Averil Lavigne?

No? What about Comeback Kid then? They're pretty awesome hardcore from Canada.
Arcade Fire has already been mentioned.
Those are the only two I can think of... 3 Inches of Blood might be from there?

Agreed.  From One Chord to Another is a power-pop classic.

In fact, Canada was a power-pop sparkplug in the 90s.  You've got Sloan, Age of Electric, Treble Charger, Limblifter, I Mother Earth, and, well, Matthew Sweet (though he's actually from Nebraska but was much more successful in Canada than in the US).  SOOOOOOOO many Canuck Big Star fans!
