Bands that have grown on you..
Synchronicity:
Led Zeppelin for sure. I'd, of course, heard Stairway to Heaven and a few other songs but since my friend was always talking about how great they were I decided to listen to them. I listened to the album Houses of the Holy a few times and thought they were pretty boring. A few months later I listened to them again and now I just love them.
Also Iron & Wine bored me to death when I first heard them, but now I love them as well.
Johnny Zhivago:
it took me a while before I was able to get down with Kraftwerk. Also The Stranglers, I got one of their albums, and was like meh, but after trying it again a month or so later, they were like instantly one of my favorite bands. If they haven't grown on any of you yet, so to speak, I suggest letting them do so, they are outstanding.

agreed! thats another group it took me a while to get into, now i cant understand how people dont love that stuff

Yeah, but I didn't even have to work to get into them. My dad had just bought me an album of his for my 13th birthday and that was the starting point of it.
