I'm going to have to agree with Death, kind of.  You see, I bought "Sounds of Perseverence," and loved it, but then I stopped liking death metal (you see, I had been liking death metal because of the image thing, and being a rebellious teenager).  Slowly, I've started to get into it again, and Death has been one of the few bands I'm starting to listen to.  In fact, there aren't really many other bands that I'd qualify as death metal that I'm starting to like.  In Flames, but they're not really death, I wouldn't say.

I still can't really get super into either In Flames or At The Gates.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

Well, I can't get super into In Flames, but they're pretty good upon occasion.  Their guitarists just have such a great melodic sense that it's really cool.  Of course, I only have Colony and Whoracle, so I can't vouch for any of their other albums.  I've heard some of their newer stuff, and it's totally hit or miss.

Dark Tranquility is better than At the Gates anyway.

Sigur Ros is basically my lastest edition to my humble music collection. So quiet, smooth and relaxing.

Despite what people say, "()" was a good album.

Actually Neutral Milk Hotel when I first heard Aeroplane I really liked it, but a while a go I heard it again and totally fell in love with it. It's now on my list of favorite albums of all time

Damnit, I was about to post the exact same thing. I listened to that album two weeks ago, and BAM, all of a sudden, it clicked. I've been listening to it almost nonstop since. Definitely one of my favorite albums of all time now.

Oh, and the same thing happened with the Arcade Fire a few months ago. Gah, come out with a new LP already, I've listened to Funeral so many times I'm almost sick of it. Almost.

I definitely third the NMH bit.

Clap Your Hands say Yeah is the ultamate "grows on you and then your an adict" band. Listen to the cd once and you'll feel dilutional and screwed up. listen to it twice and your hooked.
