In terms of bands that are a tad more accesible: KYUSS!!! Puny Human, Fu Manchu, Sasquatch, Queens of the Stone Age, etc.

MF Doom and all his aliases (Viktor Vaughan/King Geedorah etc), and Madlib (aka Quasimoto) are a couple of my favourite hip-hop MCs/producers. I recommend checking out their collaboration 'Madvillainy', Quasimoto's 'The Unseen' and/or MF Doom's latest, 'Dangerdoom' (with Dangermouse producing). They are off-the-wall fucking brilliant!
