If by old stuff, you don't mean classic rock, I'd suggest getting into some of the remnastered old stuff. Like, I have my friends Led Zeppelin greatest hits remastered, and it sounds great, same with the Who's tommy album. Though, if you DID in fact mean classic rock by old stuff, then I'd suggest:
The Wall Flowers - Bob Dylan's son!
Guster - Just awsome, bongo drums=teh cool
And the Flaming lips - Why shouldn't you listen to them? They are referenced constantly in QC, so, they must be good!
