So, its about a month until this game is supposed to come out, and I am all kinds of excited.

I dont know if anyone else has been following it, but there is a new "drive" system that allows sora to fuse into different forms, 4 of which are revealed, and at least one that isnt, the new theme song is "Passion" by Utada Hikaru (a damn cool song imo), and you dont start off playing as Sora, but rather as Roxas, once known as the Blonde-Haired Kid.

Anyone else as excited as I am?

seriously. the hundred acre wood section of the original goes down as the best part of any game that i have ever played. if this game is as good as the last one, i'm literally taking time off work to play it.

The first game gave me tendinitis.  Seriously, it was so awesome that I didn't even notice the fact that I was mashing X over and over as fast as I could for hours at a time.  Now I can't play videogames.  :(

Good news, the fighting isnt just "hit x really fast, over and over," it has a new combo system where you can hit triangle and it will attack a specific (targeted) enemy, to kinda vary things a bit. It's also used for some cool boss fight scenes.

I preordered this, and am counting the days!

But seriously, I strangely, have Kingdom Hearts, but have never even played it, much less finished it. There was a used copy for like 5 bucks at my EB, so I figured why the hell not? But I never started it, partially out of embaressment playing a game full of Disney characters as a 17 year old male.

KINGDOMHEARTSII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111oneoneone

God, I am seriously going to geek out for this game.

Also, 2006? Great year for Square-Enix.

Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus
Kingdom Hearts II

I might just ejaculate all over Square-Enix HQ by the end of the year.

Actually, I'm in the Mermaid world in the original, and to be honest, I'm not really impressed. I may get the sequel, but I'm honestly not too excited. I'd prefer them making another really good Final Fantasy, or some other more traditional RPG.

The Little Mermaid world was a constant disappointment. Not only was there shitty controls and slow movement, but there was also a severe lack of reason to the world.

Stick it out, Hollow Bastion and Neverland are SO worth it. Neverland (when you get to fly) is the way that Atlantica should have been.

And there's pirates.

I would go get the game, but unfortunately for me, World of Warcraft has reclaimed it's grasp on my soul and isn't likely to let leave for awhile.  Patch 1.10 is awesome.  *cries*

I never did finish the first KH.  I think I stopped after I beat the Mermaid world, because I do remember fighting Ursula.  It was fun, but not as fun as, say, Tales of Symphonia, which I am still obsessed over to this day.

Chain of Memories was pretty fun. It's odd getting used to, but once you pick up the card system (which takes less time than you think) it's pretty simple.

Story-wise, KH2 is supposed to be completely separate from the events of CoM, but I already recognize a few characters from it, who are supposed to be major players in the new story. I guess they'll explain all the big stuff again

I'd recommend it, but it isnt necessary.

Oh, man. Fighting Sephiroth is so FUN. I haven't even gotten him more than five bars down, but the challenge is a BLAST for me.

For the secret ending I need:

Twilight Town Poster challenge in under 30 seconds
Paradox Cerberus through Paradox Goddesses
"Final" Form Genie combo
Completion of Synthesis
Beating Sephiroth

Hoo. I've already got about 46 hours, will probably be about 80 before I finish synthesis. I can't find any shards at this point to save my life.

I'm lame. I don't even have 20 hours on the game and I'm only at Port Royal. I don't like the realism thing they've got goin' on in Port Royal. It's not cool, and it clashes with the other styles of the characters. I do, however, love the drive. It's fun to shoot things in Wisdom Form. =3

I want to fight Seph-y-rothhh. =|

Unlocked Final Form last night, leveling it up so it actually lasts. Christ, does it fight like a dream.

My problem is finding the various Twilight and Dense shards, and the Orichalum+s. I have about 20 shards and gems (or stones for Dense), but nothing else. If i'm going to get Save the King and Save the Queen, I need these. Also, Ultima Weapon.

Surprisingly, I played the whole game up 'til i got Oblivion with the Kingdom Key. I just never felt compelled to change it. Kinda disappointing when you think that it means most of the Keyblades in this game kind of suck.

Edit: My playclock is at 45 hours. JSYK

I have unlocked all forms and need only to level up Final. I am currently working on filling the journal..good god is it ever annoying..It would have been easier just to take on the game at hard.

Oh yeah, for those who do not know, you are able to unlock a secret part of the ending by completing certain tasks.
-Clearing all of the worlds in Hard mode.
-Clearing all of the worlds and filling Jiminy's journal in Normal mode.
-You are unable to view it on easy mode.

So, this is where I'm at in the game now.

Am in progress of:
Levelling up Valor, Wisdom and Master from 5 to 7
Levelling up Final from 3 to 7
Three recipes, and about 85% of the collect 30 shards, 25 stones and 20 gems of each thingy lists
Beating Paradox Cerberus with 1300+ points
Beating the other two Paradox tournaments at their respective point totals.

Everything else is done.

And I think I'd rather get the final ending this way. It feels as though I've done more.

It all depends on where in the game you are. If you only have Valor, Wisdom, and Master, it tops off at level 5. Once you unlock Final form (a random event, kind of like Nega-form, but there are a few requirements. You need at least 5 drive points when you change to become final form.)

The great thing about Final Form is that it is so easy to slaughter any enemy.

The horrible thing is you gain 1, and only 1 experience from each NOBODY that you defeat in Final Form. Bitch of a thing to level up. Still easier than Wisdom form though.

I love this game so far, though I thought at the beginning that you actually had to earn 2000 money in increments of 50 or less to progress, and I was going to kill again until I stumbled across the train area and the plot started moving again. Phew. I would not have been happy at killing bees and smashing junk for two hours.

I dunno. Normal mode is way too easy, but hard mode is a bit too hard. I started in hard and got as far as mUlan before I got to a battle that caused me to die three times before I gave up and started normal, where I'm halfway through and haven't died once. There ought to be a mode in the middle.

So, I beat it in said night of my previous post with the secret ending.

Also, while Normal Mode is kind of easy just going straight through, the optional battles, particularily Sephiroth and Cloud/Tifa/Yuffie/Squall in the Hades tournament are fucking amazing hard but still so much fun and very satisfying when you beat them.

Also, secret ending: GEEKING OUT>>>>>

THE FINAL BATTLE IS EPIC. NO JOKE. The forms were much better thought out and exacuted in this game than in the original. Also, reaction command usage was top-notch.

if you were a fan of the story, you WILL NOT be disappointed. The ending was awesome in so many ways, and has a tear-jerker finale. Though it makes you wonder where KH3 is supposed to come from.

The only things that I have left to complete for the journal are some of the Coliseum missions.

What I need help with is Phil's Training.

I find it hilarious that I defeated Sephiroth but cannot complete this mission.

Would somebody please tell me how they got 1,000 points in Manic Mode?

Hmmm. I almost don't remember how I did that. I fooled around with various things that I could do and found something that was really easy. Maybe final form or Peter Pan summon? Also, as many negative combos/removing as many combo pluses as possible. Mess around with whatever you can do, there's something that makes it pretty easy.
