I personally love my wallpaper, it matches my theme.  Not sure where i got it, its been floating around my harddrive forever :)

Also, to disable all the icons (including the recycle bin) right click the desktop -> arrange icons by -> hide desktop icons

Usually I run at 1920x1440, but for right now it's a tad smaller...
