By party, he means concert, and by concert, I mean amazing burst of joy in my ears as wonderful music surrounded me.

  Anyway, I'm going to choose bands that still exist, and rather than favorite bands, they're going to have to be ones that'd work amazingly well at a party.

One cannot have a party without the greatest party band of the last 30 years, the B-52s.

To round it out, I would add the Apples In Stereo and Primus.

Anyway, I'd have Wilco, Bob Dylan and Pink Floyd there.
