there are like 15 people in the band. it is awesome.

I suppose Wolfmother count as a local band, though they've broken through to chart success.
Either way, the keyboard solo on "Mind's Eye" is great, in a cheesy sort of way.

Holy Crap. My hometown has actually produced a decent band (their live shows are pretty good, you notice that all of them were previously in brutal hardcore bands) which managed to score a record deal with a good label.

My bass teacher is the guitarist in the band. They are thrash metal, I suppose. Unfortunately for me they are moving to Portland Oregon in a few weeks. They are the best local band.
