Fun Stuff > BAND
Just to prove I'm not a bandwagoner later on
Narr:
I found a video of this guy named Justin King, like, a year and a half ago, on albinoblacksheep.com. He played in a rather unorthodox manner, producing a very unique sound which I liked, and at the end of the clip it said to go to this site. At the time, it was all hosted by his band, but now that they just got picked up by Epic Records, like... I wanna say late fall of last year, it's now hosted by said music label. (The original band site remains intact at www.justinkingband.com, although it doesn't have anything the Epic Records one is missing.)
I suggest going to the media section and watching one of the video clips or two. The snippets from the songs they have up there aren't half bad, either.

Windows Media: lo - med - hi
It's a lot different from the stuff I normally listen to, so either my tastes are changing or I am that much in awe of how this guy plays the guitar. Or both.
Gryff:
Hmm, do I trust the guy with 2 posts who's linking me to a "hot new band"?
Kai:
Different subject, but still.
Bastardous Bassist:
The real question is, does it really matter that much? Honestly, I'm okay with advertising, because it introduces me to things sometimes. Sure, it's poor to base everything on advertising, but how bad could it hurt to just look in on it a little bit?
Inlander:
It would be crippling for our precious hipster cynicism.
